Save the Lidgerwood Building!

When: Saturday, June 1, 2019

Where: 202 Coffey Street

The Lidgerwood Building at 202 Coffey Street (across from Valentino Pier) in Red Hook has been slated for demolition by UPS, the new lease-holder. The Red Hook community has a deep historical character and this building represents a significant contribution to the neighborhood fabric. We, the community of Red Hook, understand that the needs of the future UPS storage may not work with the interior layouts of the historic agglomeration of buildings, but we ask that we ask that new developments, and neighbors, take into account the context, history, and community they are entering into. We want to to encourage UPS to work the building into their new proposed facility design through adaptive reuse. Please sign the petition to save the building from demolition! https://www.change.org/p/ups-lidgerwood-building-preserve-red-hook-s-industrial-character?cs_tk=Ao6TEZ4K2JZ7AGkBwVwAAXicyyvNyQEABF8BvNybcUxJvIdBcP1DjTyUHAQ%3D&utm_campaign=7e5ca59491ec414faff1d11804807ef5&utm_medium=email&utm_source=petition_signer_receipt&utm_term=cs
