D38 Participatory budget UPDATES – Vote Week begins in under 2 weeks!

When: Tuesday, March 14, 2023

Hey neighbors,

Participatory budget vote week is just under two weeks away!

Here’s how you can get involved in this most exciting part of the process, where we get to share with our neighbors young and old, regardless of immigration status that you decide, you can vote in this process.

  • We’re looking for volunteers to help table on the weekends first and foremost, from 12PM-3PM at Sunset Park and in Red Hook on March 25, 26 and April 1 and April 2.
  • If you’re ready to table at another time or location, just reply to me here!
  • This Thursday, March 16 from 6:30PM-8:00PM, you’re invited to build a ballot box with our office, Council Members Hanif and Hudson’s offices and Arts and Democracy at Camp Friendship, 339 8th St.
  • Sign up for these or any events at this link: bit.ly/PBD3823

I am eager to share updates on our finalist projects… I am holding out hope for a couple responses from one last agency ????, but you can expect to find projects to improve our schools, streets and parks on the ballot this year.

I am also sharing flyers with the full list of voting sites, times and addresses for vote week. Printed copies will be available for pickup from our office or by request from this Thursday.
