Hook Arts Media Seeks Associate Producer for 29th Annual Red Hook Fest Hook Arts Media (HAM) is seeking an Associate Producer for the 29th Annual Red Hook Fest, a multi-day arts festival during the first two weeks of June in the community of Red Hook, Brooklyn featuring top talent in music and dance. Responsibilities: Handle all aspects of festival production with special attention to necessary COVID-19 safety guidelines Manage Festival budget Meet bi-monthly with Executive Producer Work with Technical Director to assure smooth running of event Handle all permitting as necessary, community relations, police permits and FDNY Lead monthly production meetings March-June Handle all equipment rentals in collaboration with Technical Director Collaborate with HAM Marketing Manager and local outreach staff on event marketing Supervise staff handling youth groups and community partners Creating and maintaining Productions Schedules and Show Flows Qualifications: Self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong work ethic and ability to commit to the event’s mission and values. Hook Arts Media seeks an Office Manager/Administrative Assistant

Founded in 1994, Hook Arts Media is a vibrant community-based, multi-disciplinary arts organization located on the beautiful Red Hook, Brooklyn waterfront. HAM currently runs year-round arts education programs at high needs public high schools as well onsite and offsite after-school and community programs for ages 12-24, serving upwards of 700 students annually. In addition, HAM produces the annual Red Hook Fest each June – a free outdoor performing arts festival that features world class artists as well performances by over 100 local youth – and pop-up performances in support of community initiatives. For further information, visit www.hookarts.org HAM is seeking an Office Manager/Administrative Assistant to join our team. The position is part-time and based in HAM’s Red Hook offices. This is a three-day-a-week position with some options for remote work. The Office Manager/Administrative Assistant will work closely with the Executive Director and will play a large role in maintaining office operations and providing support to the Executive Director. As a lead member of the staff, the Office Manager/Administrative Assistant will ensure the office operations all run smoothly. This position reports directly to the Executive Director. Primary responsibilities include: • Administrative o Track, scan, file and send all bills, invoices, receipts for credit card purchases, and Petty Cash to Finance Consultants o Review teaching artists contracts for accuracy, ensure they are fully executed with signatures by both parties, file and send to HR Consultants o Assist with preparation of annual audit • Office Management o Track/order office and maintenance supplies and equipment o Assist with Covid-19 safety protocols in office o Purchase supplies and equipment for all programs o Track all equipment/computer purchases and track against appropriate grants o Work with IT consultants for any issues that arise o Supervise and assist with office cleaning and organization as needed. o Answer phone and all voicemail o Work with Marketing to track all individual donations o Assist with database updates o Prepare and track Thank You letters for individual donations. • Events o Assist with planning and production of public events, including the Red Hook Fest and Education Program events o Assist with planning and production of fundraising and cultivation events, including annual holiday party and/or gala • Other o Attend weekly staff meetings and provide status updates o Handle communications and scheduling of meetings with Board of Directors o Additional phone calling and emails to attend to daily management of organization. Candidate must be highly organized, have strong writing & communication skills, and have excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong preference for candidates with at least 5 years’ experience in operations management within the NYC cultural sector. Pay is commensurate with experience. Salary 32,000 P/T with health benefits. Three weeks paid vacation which includes the week between Christmas and New Year off. Position is available February 2022. Red Hook Mutual Aid is an independent corps of local volunteers, primarily teachers and librarians who live/work in Red Hook. We're here to help connect community members to resources, information, and supplies in an accessible format. We offer phone support through a call-back system in five languages (English, Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin, and Russian), and maintain an extensive resource guide, weekly calendars, and a newsletter.
