Carroll Gardens Association, Inc. (CGA) will celebrate its 44th Anniversary at Marco Polo Restaurant on May 28, 2015. We will honor Sohne Brothers Real Estate Development with the Corporate Leadership Award for its business leadership and commitment to developing quality energy-efficient residential properties; Rachel Demarest Gold, Esq., Deputy Commissioner and Special Counsel at the New York State Department of Labor, with the Public Service Award for her dedicated service in expanding opportunities for unemployed workers in New York State; and Dog Day Cyclery, with the Small Business Leadership Award for its contribution to sustainable transportation options and its consistent support for various community initiatives. All of our distinguished honorees share the same passion and commitment to enhance the quality of life for the residents in our communities.
Cynthia Gonzalez, CGA Board Chair, said, “Carroll Gardens Association’s 44th Anniversary Celebration gives us an occasion to celebrate leaders in the community while also furthering CGA’s mission. The annual fundraising dinner is an opportunity to strengthen commitments of our donors and friends to the programs that CGA offers- preserving and developing affordable housing, enforcing quality housing management practices, promoting small business economic development, and providing and linking residents to social services and resources to improve the quality of their lives.”
