DEVELOPED BY AIGA/NY DESIGN/RELIEF
Design/Relief is a participatory design initiative that is helping three New York City neighborhoods–Red Hook, the Rockaways and South Street Seaport–imagine a more vibrant future for themselves as they overcome the lingering effects of Hurricane Sandy.
The Design/Relief Red Hook team consists of Brooklyn-based designers Anke Stohlmann from Li’l Robin, Alicia Cheng and Sarah Gephart from MGMT. design, community activist James Andrews from Amplifier and Flint Public Art project, and Brooklyn-based communications designer and storyteller David Al-Ibrahim.
