New York City is participating in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) National Disaster Resilience Competition (NDRC). NDRC will award nearly $1 billion in HUD disaster recovery funds to eligible communities nationwide. In this Phase 1 application, the City describes its unmet resiliency needs stemming from Hurricane Sandy. Specific project requests are not included in Phase 1. They will be developed during Phase 2, which is due in October.
The public may review the draft application and submit comments by visiting http://www.nyc.gov/html/cdbg. The public comment period ends on March 16th.
