Join the Center for Urban Pedagogy in partnership with Council Member Menchaca’s Office for a two part workshop series on the basics of zoning and Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP). What is Zoning? allows communities to understand the concepts behind zoning, as well as to look at the nuts and bolts of how rezonings can affect their neighborhoods. Stack/File: Selections from the Kentler Flatfiles Curated by Ana Torok Exhibition Dates: June 13 - July 26, 2015 Curator’s Talk & Opening Reception: Saturday, June 13, 4 - 6 pm Kentler International Drawing Space is pleased to present Stack/File: Selections from the Kentler Flatfiles, curated by Ana Torok. Featuring 42 works by 25 artists, Stack/File: Selections from the Kentler Flatfiles is a dual-platformed curatorial experiment designed to re-create the agency inherent to the process of exploring the Kentler Flatfiles. The first platform, Stack, is a traditional selections show using the layered and stacked storage of the Flatfiles as a theoretical catalyst to explore issues relating to superimposition. The second platform, File, is an online, conceptual record of the curatorial process, including the chronology of significant events leading up to the opening and expanded considerations of each artwork in the exhibition. *HRA NYCHA Outreach*

When: Mondays at 10:00 am, from May 18, 2015 until October 26, 2017

Where: Red Hook East/Joseph Miccio Center

As part of the Mayor’s Action Plan for Neighborhood Safety (MAP), the New York City Human Resources Administration (HRA) has launched an Outreach Team to provide in-person information and assistance to Red Hook East and West residents regarding HRA programs and services. Stephanie Mena, an Outreach Specialist with the MAP HRA NYCHA Outreach Team, will be located at the Red Hook East/ Joseph Miccio Community Center on Mondays-Thursdays from 10:00am-2:00pm. She can provide NYCHA residents with information about HRA benefits, services, and other resources. She can also assist with SNAP and public health insurance application completion, basic information related to open cases, and linkages to other HRA services.
