Freedom School: Read Aloud!

When: Tuesday, July 7, 2020

With millions of children (and many of us) at home as communities respond to the coronavirus crisis, we are looking for a way to bring great CDF Freedom Schools®  books to children who do not have books in their homes. The CDF Freedom Schools community knows the power of Read Aloud, and now we want to take that online. We're asking any partners who can participate to record a video of an at-home Read Aloud and send it to us. We hope to collect Read Aloud videos that we can share with our networks on social media, while we also encourage people across the country to record their own Read Aloud and share it with us, their children, and their friends and families. Check out these examples of a CDF staff-led Read Aloud and a Read Aloud from our partners at The Listening,  Inc. CDF Freedom Schools program to get inspired! Please send us your videos at fsphotos@childrensdefense.org or post them on Instagram and Twitter, tagging us and using #ReadAloudforKids. Please follow us on Instagram at @childdefender1973. Please feel free to share with your networks, friends, and family.
