The MTA is conducting open houses as a part of its Brooklyn Network Redesign. This is our chance to restore the east-west connection that you've fought for since the B71 was cut in 2010. The Arts Strategies Department of the Center for Court Innovation is searching for artists or creative people to apply for the opportunity to use the arts to foster community safety, healing, a sense of belonging to place, or civic engagement in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Artists and arts organizations with a strong connection to Red Hook are encouraged to propose projects that will be supported with up to $40,000 and will start in March 2020. Team Up To Read is a free interactive series designed for children ages 5-9 and their caregivers to help improve reading skills with tips and fun activities, all while encouraging a lifelong love of reading.
