Red Hook WaterStories presents a “Talk to a Historian” Event!
Share and learn local history. Did you, do you fish on Long Dock? Work at Todd? White Rock? Do you want to share your experience of Hurricane Sandy? If it has to do with the Red Hook waterfront, we want your story!
Red Hook WaterStories tells the history of Red Hook with a water theme. It is NYC’s maritime story in microcosm, coupled with an in-depth guide to contemporary Red Hook plus a Resiliency 101 section.
Part of the PortSide New York “Mary” Month of May Festival
Red Hook WaterStories is a project of PortSide NewYork and is supported by Councilman Carlos Menchaca, the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, and the New York State Legislature and many local businesses and individuals.
