Note 1: This program is ONLY for NYCHA public housing residents who are officially on the lease or family composition or NYCHA Section 8 voucher holders. Note 2: This program is only to start a home-based childcare business in your NYCHA apartment. This program does not help you start a commercial daycare out of your NYCHA apartment. Note 3: This is an intensive business education program for 15 weeks. Note 4: These are the last information sessions for 2018.

Join the NYCHA Board

When: Sep 15-Oct 15, 2018

Board members represent the almost 400,000 people who call NYCHA home. Their responsibilities include voting on contracts, resolutions, polices, rules and regulations and other administrative matters.  Resident members are required to devote a minimum of 15-20 hours each month for which they will receive a monthly stipend per hours of services up to $1,500. To qualify, constituents must be: at least 18 years old; a NYCHA resident in good standing; and cleared for service by the New York City Department of Investigation, the New York City Conflicts of Interest Board and/or NYCHA's Office of the Inspector General The application period will start on September 15, 2018 and end October 15, 2018. Applications will be available online and at the Property Management and Borough Management Offices.
