Join the NYCHA Board

Board members represent the almost 400,000 people who call NYCHA home. Their responsibilities include voting on contracts, resolutions, polices, rules and regulations and other administrative matters.  Resident members are required to devote a minimum of 15-20 hours each month for which they will receive a monthly stipend per hours of services up to $1,500. To qualify, constituents must be: at least 18 years old; a NYCHA resident in good standing; and cleared for service by the New York City Department of Investigation, the New York City Conflicts of Interest Board and/or NYCHA's Office of the Inspector General The application period will start on September 15, 2018 and end October 15, 2018. Applications will be available online and at the Property Management and Borough Management Offices. Pick up a bag of fresh produce from our Red Hook Community Farm. Your bag can include greens, herbs, and severy pounds of vegetables such as tomatoes, carrots, peppers and zucchini.

Every Wednesday from 4pm-8pm in front of the Miccio 110 West 9th Street or

Every Saturday from 10am to 3pm at the Red Hook Community Farm 560 Columbia Street. 

Who is eligible: Any one living in NYCHA housing or anyone paying with SNAP benefits.

Mixed Doubles: Photographs of People in Pairs by Teri Slotkin

Kentler International Drawing Space and the Red Hook Library are partnering to present an exhibition of photographs from Teri Slotkin's MIXED DOUBLES series, taken in Red Hook between 1994-1998. On view in the library between December 14, 2017 and February 8, 2018. The MIXED DOUBLES series is part of the Red Hook Archives, a collection of maps, photographs, and printed materials documenting Red Hook's rich history and diverse population housed at the Kentler International Drawing Space on Van Brunt Street.
