Open Newsroom at the Library

Come join your friends and neighbors in an Open Newsroom in the Library where you will learn more about the kinds of local reporting The City is doing, while sharing your own ideas about the neighborhood issues that you think should be investigated and reported on. Reporters from The City and library staff will be on hand to guide the discussions, and refreshments will be served. Brooklyn Public Library is proud to partner with The City (thecity.nyc), a new, independent, nonprofit news outlet dedicated to local hard-hitting reporting that serves the people of New York. The reporters for The City write about what is important to local residents and have already produced excellent pieces on education, affordable housing, and corruption.
