Housing Resource Center Do you live in NYCHA Red Hook Houses?  The Housing Resource Center at the Red Hook Community Justice Center is here to support you in resolving housing issues.  Help understand Housing Court, fill out court forms, connect to rental assistance and request and obtain repairs. Contact us at: 88 Visitation Place Brooklyn, NY 11231 or call (718) 923-8250 Monday – Friday from9:00am – 1:00pm and 2:30pm – 6:00pm Complete your NYCHA annual review at the Red Hook Community Justice Center!  We will have a computer lab and staff available to assist tenants in completing the annual review online.  Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9:00am – 12:30pm; and 2:30pm – 4:30pm.  To schedule an appointment, call (718) 923-8250; walk-ins are welcome!  Please bring your username/code and any supporting documents.

AmeriCorps Opportunity for Students

We are currently recruiting AmeriCorps members to join the Red Hook Community Resilience Corps as our minimum time members. Youth between the ages of 17-24 who may be pursuing a HSE/ HS diploma are eligible to apply. We have a summer program and school year that youth can choose from. Click here for more info.  School Year- You will be responsible for 300 hours; most hours will be completed from attending classes. On Fridays, you would come to the Justice Center for workshops and mentoring sessions. They will work one on one with another AmeriCorps member. Members will receive an educational award of $1,221. The program will run between May and October. Summer Program- You will be responsible for 300 hours, some of these hours will come from attending class.  The majority of the hours will be from their participation in our Summer Internship program in which they will be trained and place at a site, enhancing their job skills. Members will receive a stipend of $800-$900 in addition to the education award of $1,221. The program will run between June and September.
